This mod adds the Hisatsinom (Ancestral Puebloans) as a selectable culture in the Classical Era. No other cultures are replaced and the mod does not change anything outside of this specific culture.

The Hisatsinom are also part of my Culture Super Pack.

The Hisatsinom have their own Legacy Trait, Emblematic Quarter, and Emblematic Unit. Info below:

Affinity: Scientist
Legacy Trait: Desert Astronomy: +3 Science on Main Plaza; +1 Science on emblematic districts
Emblematic District: Cliff Pueblo: +15 Science; Science reduced for each district in this city (Science multiplied by 0.9^Number of districts in this city); +8 Fortification; +1 Researcher and +1 Farmer Slot; Counts as Research Quarter; Is a spawn point for land units; +1 Combat Strength for units on or adjacent to the Cliff Pueblo; Must be built on top of a cliff; May be built in unattached territories for Influence; Unlocks at Fortifications
Emblematic Unit: Bowmen: Does not replace any unit; Ranged unit (upgrades from Archers; upgrades to Crossbowmen) with 25 Combat Strength; May cross cliffs; Unlocks at Standing Army

If you encounter bugs, please let me know! You can find me on Reddit, Steam, and Discord under the name uncle2fire.

Who are the Hisatsinom?

The Hisatsinom (also called the Ancestral Puebloans and the Anasazi) were a culture that developed in the deserts of the American Southwest, famous for their cliff dwellings, some of which are enormous. They relied on winter snows and periodic rain to grow food and for water, and probably built their villages on cliffsides for defensive reasons. They seem to have had an excellent understanding of astronomy, and some of their structures may have been built to reflect this knowledge.
