This mod adds the Mapuche as a selectable culture in the Early Modern Era. No other cultures are replaced and the mod does not change anything outside of this specific culture.

The Mapuche are also part of my South America Culture Pack and my Culture Super Pack.

The Mapuche have their own Legacy Trait, Emblematic Quarter, and Emblematic Unit. Info below:

Affinity: Agrarian
Legacy Trait: Courage of Lautaro: -90% Unit Upkeep cost; +5% Unit Upkeep cost per attached territory; +4 Combat Strength to all land units; -0.2 Combat Strength to all land units per attached territory; +1 Vision to all land units
Emblematic district: Aillarehua: Replaces the Hamlet; Exploits all neighboring tiles for Food and Industry; +100% Food on neighboring tiles; +15 Fortification; +1 Farmer and +1 Trader Slot; -10 Stability; Is a spawn point for land units
Emblematic Unit: Toqui’s Warriors: Replaces the Halberdiers; 44 Combat Strength (instead of 41 for the Halberdiers); +1 Combat Strength per war declared on you; Unlocks at Centralized Power (like the Halberdiers)

Who are the Mapuche?

An indigenous group from modern central and southern Chile and Argentina, the Mapuche have a long history of resistance against foreign invaders. They halted the Inca advance southward in the 15th century and maintained fierce resistance against the Spanish colonizers throughout the 16th and 17th centuries. On several occasions in the 16th and 17th centuries, the Mapuche successfully ousted the Spanish from their lands, though the Spanish returned each time.
