This mod adds the Swiss as a selectable culture in the Contemporary Era. No other cultures are replaced, and the mod does not change anything outside of this specific culture.

The Swiss are also part of my Swiss Culture Pack and my Culture Super Pack.

The Swiss have their own Legacy Trait, Emblematic Quarter, and Emblematic Unit. Info below:

Affinity: Merchant
Legacy Trait: Tax Haven: -1 Money on Market Quarters per empire at peace with you; +1 Money per trade route per empire at peace with you; +10% Money per Alliance
Emblematic District: Ski Resort: +5 Influence; +10 Money; +5 Stability; +3 Influence and +8 Money per adjacent Mountain; +10 Fame on construction per adjacent Mountain; Must be placed on a Mountain, but does not need to be adjacent to another district
Emblematic Unit: Gebirgsspezialisten: Does not replace any unit; Gunner unit with 55 Combat Strength; +3 Combat Strength when fighting from higher or fortified terrain (this is in addition to the normal bonus from higher terrain); May cross cliffs; Enemy units in combat with the Gebirgsspezialisten do not receive a combat bonus from being on higher terrain (this applies whether the other unit is attacking from higher ground or defending on higher ground)

If you encounter bugs, please let me know! You can find me on Reddit, Steam, and Discord under the name uncle2fire.

Check out my other culture additions:

This mod is compatible with my other added culture mods EXCEPT FOR the Swiss Pack and the Culture Super Pack. This mod has not been tested with any mods made by other creators.

Why the Swiss?

One of the world's richest and most advanced economies, Switzerland is a center for technological innovation as well as manufacturing and business. While steadfastly neutral, the Swiss spend a large amount of money on a defensive military force, especially focused on complementing the naturally defensible terrain. Famous for its large and prestigious ski resorts, winter sports are an important part of Swiss culture and tourism.

but why no humankind modder can make modified units with unique 3d models? and instead everyone uses vanilla 3d models? all this destroys the immersion of the new units!

Adding new unit models isn't currently possible.

Feel ED not too much unique/representative like this could be a district for all tho , maybe more OP but a mountain train station giving less bonuses but allow units on all adjacent mountains and their adjacent mountains to move in them but not stay

Ski resorts are pretty emblematic of Switzerland, if you ask me. Some of the earliest and now best known ski resorts were and are in Switzerland, and when you think of the best and most prestigious places to ski in the world, Switzerland and maybe Austria top the list easily. The reverse is also true, skiing is one of the most popular reasons to visit Switzerland.

As for movement on mountains, that currently is not possible.

Feels kind of weird that the Swiss would lose money for not being at war but, I guess this is done for balance reasons.

Balance and to represent lower taxes from traditional economic activities. The goal being to shift economic playstyle to trade and making alliances rather than relying on market quarters.

If you go to war, you lose a typically much larger source of income in the compounding bonus to trade routes.
