This mod adds the Sivullirmiut (also known as the Dorset) as a selectable culture in the Ancient Era. No other selectable cultures are replaced and the mod does not change anything outside of this specific culture.

The Sivullirmiut are also part of my Culture Super Pack.

The Sivullirmiut have their own Legacy Trait, Emblematic Quarter, and Emblematic Unit. Info below:

Affinity: Agrarian
Legacy Trait: Land of the Midnight Sun: +2 Food and +2 Industry on sterile tiles (affects both snow and desert sterile tiles)
Emblematic District: Seal Hunting Grounds: +5 Food; +1 Money; +2 Food per adjacent Coastal Water tile; +3 Food per Ambergris; +3 Money per Pearls; -10 Stability; Counts as Farmers Quarter and Market Quarter; Exploits all adjacent land tiles; Must be built coastally in Arctic, Tundra, or Taiga biome (territories with cold climates)
Emblematic Unit: Harpooners: Replaces the Scouts; Ranged unit with 19 Combat Strength (instead of 13 for the Scouts), 1 Range, and 3 Movement; Is not weak to melee attacks; Receives Money and Influence when winning a battle; Gains a combat bonus on Forest tiles; Unlocks immediately upon entering the Ancient Era; All Tribes are converted to Harpooners upon entering the Ancient Era

Civilization Trait (not passed on after advancing to another culture): May not build non-Harpooner units

This mod is compatible with my other added culture mods EXCEPT FOR the Culture Super Pack. This mod has not been tested with any mods made by other creators.

Credit and many thanks for the art for the Harpooners goes to kul!

Who are the Sivullirmiut?

The Sivullirmiut, also called the Dorset culture, were among the first cultures to arise in the Arctic. They were seal hunters who relied on harpooning seals and walruses at holes in the ice where the animals would surface to breathe. The Sivullirmiut would harvest the meat, ivory, leather, bone, and oil from the animals to use for every part of their lives. They are well known for their miniature carvings made from ivory and bone and their impressive masks, likely made for spiritual or religious reasons.
